Chanel Métiers d´Art Paris – Hamburg

When I got the invitation to the Chanel Métiers d´Art show I could not even believe what I saw. It was the most perfect combination I could ever think of: my favorite brand Chanel and my beloved hometown Hamburg, which is also where Karl Lagerfeld was born. It took place in the Elbphilharmonie right at the harbor, one of the biggest and most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world. It was a unique and beautiful atmosphere while the orchestra started playing iconic music from Hans Albers – Palmoma and the models started showing up at the very top of the concert hall, slowly making their way down to the main stage. The collection was very maritime, inspired by the northern city and more I could have ever hoped for. Men in head to toe sailor outfits, wearing navy hats with a pipe in their hands.
